Priorities for Europe’s Digital Agenda
On Wednesday 27th March, Business for New Europe and FIPRA host an event looking at the priorities for Europe's digital agenda with guest speakers Malcom Harbour MEP, Chair of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection and Anthony Whelan, Chef de Cabinet to Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for the Digital Agenda.
In December 2012 the European Commission published a digital 'to do list', building upon the 2010 Digital Agenda for Europe, and setting priorities for the years 2013-14. These include:strengthening the digital single market, especially in the area of copyright:
- taking forward the European Commission's strategies on cloud computing and cyber security
- helping to develop digital public service infrastructures, such as e-health, e-justice and e-procurement
- a new electronics industrial strategy
Join us for this evening seminar to discuss whether these are the right priorities for Europe and to consider their potential impact for business.
